Exotic Garden Close Down
Posted on: Monday 21st of November 2005
The first frosts here in North Norfolk has meant that most of the exotic plants have come to the end of their flowering season. What this means, of course, is a massive tidy up and clear away all the plant material ready to put most things in a state that they will survive the winter.
This year, all the dahlias are being left in the raised boxes and covered with straw and fresh soil. Just in case it is a total disaster, cuttings have been taken for next year. I would be interested in hearing from other gardeners and their experience of over-wintering dahlias and other exotic plants.
